CFC/Chiller Plant Upgrade

Objective

Many chiller plants need to be upgraded to deal with the cfc problem. Other opportunities exist to solve end of life and low efficiency problems by implementing a systems approach.
  • Develop a rational plan to deal with cfc's
  • Reduce Operating and Maintenance Expense
  • Extend the life of the HVAC systems
  • Save energy expense

Evaluation
  • Physical condition survey and report
    • Level and quality of maintenance
    • Life expectancy and efficiency of equipment
    • Cfc type and availability
  • Develop energy, maintenance and capital expense budgets
  • Deliver an in-depth report with options and recommendations
Implementation
  • Design the selected option(s) per evaluation
  • Develop RFP for bidding
  • Assist owner with procurement, installation, startup and operator training process (owner's representative)
Ongoing Support The long term success of this program is dependant on Management's commitment to developing a cost-effective program, implementing it efficiently and periodically reviewing the status through a process of constant quality improvement.
  • Commissioning
  • Implement a Measurement and Verification program
  • Provide monthly, quarterly or annual follow-up support to the central plant operating and maintenance staff
